My favorite book is 1984. And I'm afraid that's where we're heading. I spent the evening discussing politics with my parents over dinner. I hate & love politics. But that is because there is a yin and a yang to everything.

The written word must return. People must read and write again. In great numbers. Knowledge really is power. The less you know the easier you are to control. Life comes alive through poetry and prose, we are reminded of passion and vulnerability and intrinsic strength and love.

Please, please....I beg of you. Read the classics, read the playwrites, read the stories that we share. Exercise your brain and give yourself something no one else can give you...direct insight into your own soul.

Do not disown television, do no disown the internet, do not disown the pleasures of your leisure, but give time to reading. Arm yourself to tell your story so as to be memorable and not fogotten in cliches and catch phrases and trite slang. Find the music in the silence and define your revolution.

Seek to find what makes you shiver and what makes you shake from inside out. You must cry, you must laugh, you must breathe in time with the wind.

Discover your own truths, paint your own colors, write your own histories. Make your life real.
