The jungle juice has set in, so it's time to write.

Charlie threw a party here tonight for his friend Chris...he threw Chris-a-palooza, a-la Old School. Fliers and all. There are quite a few people here. But the friends that I invited last minute have all left now, except for Adam. He's good and drunk and staying over. The party rages on as I type.

Last night I saw Tori Amos and Ben Folds at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles with my friend Brittney that I haven't hung out with consistently for a few years (it was really great to catch up). The show was brilliantly amazing. Due to the demonic beast that is Los Angeles traffic, I missed most of Ben's set (which upset me greatly, but at least I had seen Ben Folds Five a few years back). Tori was indescribably incredible, just an amazing energy that she emanates and purely honest visceral expression.

On Thursday night I had planned on seeing The Color Turning at The Knitting Factory in L.A. with Lauren, but we got lost and I was too tired to care after so much driving. So she and I went to Mel's Diner. Apparently it's famous. I had a chocolate shake and fries, which was pretty awesome at 10:35 at night in the middle of Hollywood. Lauren and I were bummed about missing the show, but she and I agreed that we would probably remember that night and how we got lost and went to a diner more than we would have remembered the show.

God I'm sunburnt.

I'm sleepy, but I'm going back to the party.
