I am champion of the night. I thrive after midnight. Too bad it makes me sleepy in the morning. But not tomorrow because 2 of my classes were cancelled.

The Glassjaw show was incredible, but even more incredible that night were Boy Sets Fire. Before the show, Jeff interviewed the lead singer (and I just listened in), and he had a whole lot to say. BSF is a very political band and I found the singer to be very intelligent and well-spoken. Then the show they put on simply made me want to be a better person. It was very, very cool.

Monday night I went down to Baltimore to see Coldplay with Jeff (he's been hooking up the free tickets lately), Topher, and three freshman girls that Jeff is friends with (Erin, Megan, and Lauren). Jeff and the girls went in one car and Topher and I in another (which was cool because Topher is from Baltimore and he was able to give me a tour of the city in addition to the great music and conversation we had). Ash opened up and we caught the tail end of their performance, which was good. Coldplay, however, was EPIC. Definitely one of the greatest concerts I've attended. Incredibly passionate, brilliantly musical, and supremely life-affirming. Just a wonderful time. I left amazed and enthralled.

Tonight I went to Sink or Swim at Brownies in Ardmore with Jeff, Matt Huber, and Eric Proie (the old roomate who still hangs out with Huber). It was cool enough - I'm really glad I got to see Tish. She's returned to the fun girl I became such good friends with and have missed for the last 2 years. Bars aren't really my thing though (since I'm not really into trivial conversations, awkward moments, and mediocre bands). But it was social and I saw a few other people I was happy to see.

My parents are coming this weekend for Parent's Weekend. It will be nice to see them and go out to a nice restaurant as well.
