Get Free by The Vines began playing at exactly 3pm. I was hungry and decided to make a late lunch (I'd woken up at 12:30, so it wasn't that late). I was in the mood for tomato soup and rice.

While the rice cooked, I took out the garbage and went across the street to look at two new homes being built. The inside of the houses were filled with water from yesterday's rain and the occasional roll of insulation or air duct tubing. I walked across the street cos I saw a sticker on the back of a stop sign, but it turned out to be just something from the county denigrating the stealing of street signs. I figured the rice was probably done by now and I needed to cook the soup.

On the way back I noticed that my neighbors are having an open house to sell their house. It's listed as somewhere in the 700-800k. Real estate is beyond inflated out here. I had misjudged my time and had a few minutes of cooking left for the rice so I read some more of a book I started yesterday called Diary by Chuck Palahniuk.

Once the rice was done, I put the soup in the microwave and went upstairs to take my Egyptian cotton sheets out of the dryer (it's a beautiful thing that they get softer with every washing). I began to get really hungry as I put the sheets on my bed and soon ran back downstairs as the microwave let me know my soup was done.
Along with my soup and rice I drank a glass of organic milk. I recently decided to switch to organic milk after reading and watching about all the rbgh in most regular milk. Consequently this was the tastiest milk I've ever had.

I went back to reading Diary while I ate, but somehow I managed to spill (by way of splashing) some of the soup on one of the pages. I didn't even see it happen. Brand new book. It pissed me off.
It suddenly felt hot in the house and I turned on the air conditioning. I kept reading (with the book held at a considerable distance) while I finished the rest of the soup. The kitchen was messy from the cooking that Shawna and I had done the night before, so I did the dishes. Then I came upstairs and wrote all this down.
