While I sit here waiting for Adam to call me back, I will begin my thoughts with something that has been ringing in my head since he said it to me the other day. Adam called Colton, Anya, and me up in Mammoth while he was between classes at Saddleback, and while we talked he happened to mention very simply, "You know, you guys are SO lucky." It was just a simple thing he said, and he quickly went on to another topic, but it resonated in my head and hasn't stopped yet. It got me thinking about how lucky I really am, and how often I don't like to acknowledge it because it sounds cheezy or campy to say so. We all have our battles, but the demons I fight are not insurmountable.

A few other things that are cool: after hearing them caw as I sat reading by the fire, I went outside and saw about 50 crows (no exaggeration) fly out of the big eucalyptus tree in my backyard on a cold, wet, and cloudy day; literally minutes after telling my dad that I hadn't seen a hummingbird in a long time, I pulled into my driveway and saw a hummingbird hovering in my front yard (which is incredible if you know the story); I went to Mammoth Mountain for 5 days and went snowboarding and sledding; on the way back from Mammoth (which is about 6 hours from home), Ryan Ghan and I took a 3.5 hour detour through Death Valley because neither of us had been there (and it was absolutely gorgeous); I talked to Megan today; Ryan and I went up to L.A. to visit Josh and listen to the work-in-progress demos for their next album along with some MCA Records people; I am now officially in charge of the street team for Something Corporate; I'm working on getting an internship with MCA Records over the summer - I went though the building in Santa Monica meeting all kinds of cool people with major connections; I've watched so many movies recently, incuding: Me, Myself, and Irene, Kindergarden Cop, 28 Days, Shadow of the Vampire, A Perfect Murder, Bedazzled, The Secret of Nimh, and others I can't remember.

Now that I've talked to Adam, I must go. MAKDBY calls me.
